After a short hiatus, we have re-started the Yard-of-the-Month program whereby each month the yards in our subdivision are judged and if the resident of the one that is considered to have the best display is in good standing with the Association and agrees to accept the accolade it is designated as the Yard-of-the-Month. A sign is placed in that yard throughout the duration of the month, a photograph and write-up are posted here on this web site and the winners are mentioned in our monthly newsletter.
To start the program for 2012 congratulations are due to Frank and Marilyn Rodriguez of 22102 Vobe who have been selected to receive this award for January. The Rodriguez's have lived in the Settlement since 2005.
The February Yard-of-the-Month award goes to Terry and Jo Anne Nickens of 22410 Unicorns Horn. Terry transferred from Memphis in 1990 and has lived in Williamsburg Settlement ever since. He has four grown daughters and one of them was in elementary school when they transferred and so has received all of her education in Katy schools. Terry has been in the rice business for many years. He enjoys the Settlement and has a great man cave garage that is very neat and orderly, where he tinkers often. Please drive by and admire Terry & Jo Anne's beautiful well-kept yard.
