Around mid December each year, judging takes place for the Christmas Holiday Yard Contest. The awards are made to homeowners who have outstanding decorations and lights for the holiday season. To be fair to all homeowners, once a homeowner has received an award they are ineligible for the same award for the next two years.

Again this year the judges made an initial selection of those which they considered to be most deserving of recognition. From the short list, all registered residents were invited to select which one they viewed as having the best display. The yard which received the most votes was recognized as taking first place with the two runners up taking second and third places. As last year a separate prize was given for the best decorated mailbox.

These three homes, photos of which are show below, together with the best mailbox, had the corresponding award sign placed in their yard and will be recognized on our My Neighborhood News Website.

The Board thanks you for your participation in this fun event and hopes that you and your families enjoyed being able to have your voice heard in the selection of this year's winners.

The Board would like to say thank you to everyone who decorated their yards and mailboxes this year whether big or small. All the Christmas displays in Williamsburg Settlement this year were a treat for everyone to enjoy. We are very fortunate to live in a community with such giving residents. Driving around and seeing the lights is a great way to wrap up the year and many families make a tradition of it. We look forward to what great Christmas displays everyone comes up with next year!

Sincerely,

Your Williamsburg Settlement Event Committee and Board
